Starting your morning without a fulfilling breakfast can derail your day. While on a Ketogenic Diet, it may be hard to stay away from those carb-filled breakfast treats. In this article, we will provide you with some Keto-friendly breakfast recipes that ensure you stay on track.

 Keto Cereal

  • Cooking spray
  • 1 c. almonds, chopped
  • 1 c. walnuts, chopped
  • 1 c. unsweetened coconut flakes
  • 1/4 c. sesame seeds
  • 2 tbsp. flax seeds
  • 2 tbsp. chia seeds
  • 1/2 tsp. ground clove
  • 1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp. kosher salt
  • One large egg white
  • 1/4 c. melted coconut oil

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350° and grease a baking sheet with cooking spray. In a large bowl, mix almonds, walnuts, coconut flakes, sesame seeds, flax seeds, and chia seeds. Stir in cloves, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt.
  2. Beat egg white until foamy, then stir into granola. Add coconut oil and stir until everything is well coated. Pour onto prepared baking sheet and spread into an even layer. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until golden, gently stirring halfway through. Let cool completely.

Keto Sausage Breakfast Sandwich

  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • Pinch red pepper flakes
  • Kosher salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tbsp. butter
  • 3 slices cheddar
  • 6 frozen sausage patties, heated according to package instructions
  • Avocado, sliced

Directions

  1. In a small bowl beat eggs, heavy cream, and red pepper flakes together. Season generously with salt and pepper. In a nonstick skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Pour about ⅓ of the eggs into the skillet. Place a slice of cheese in the middle and let sit about 1 minute. Fold the sides of the egg into the middle, covering the cheese. Remove from pan and repeat with remaining eggs.
  2. Serve eggs between two sausage patties with avocado.

Keto Pancakes

There's nothing like a big stack of pancakes for breakfast, now you can still have that classic breakfast menu on your keto diet.

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 2 oz cream cheese, cubed
  • 2/3 cup almond flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Sweetleaf - stevia sweetener (or 2 tablespoons regular sugar)
  • butter and syrup (sugar free syrup for low carb option)

Directions

  1. Add all ingredients to blender. Start with eggs and water and cream cheese so you don't have anything get stuck at bottom.
  2. Blend until smooth, scraping down the sides if needed. Let batter sit for 2 minutes.
  3. Heat a non-stick skillet to medium heat. For each pancake, pour 3 to 4 tablespoons of batter onto skillet.
  4. Once you start to see little bubbles form, flip and continue to cook until pancake is browned on each side. Continue until you have used all pancake batter.
  5. Serve pancakes topped with butter and syrup!
